TransPort™ EndoSurgical Operating Platform
The TransPort™ Multi-lumen Operating Platform is a key component of the USGI EndoSurgical Operating System, providing access and a stable operating platform for the EOS instruments. The body of the TransPort utilizes ShapeLock® technology which allows it to be advanced into the body in a flexible state to conform to a patient’s unique anatomy. Once it is in place, it is made rigid, providing a stable platform for surgery. The operating end of the TransPort can be steered freely, allowing the user to visualize the target site and operate with control and efficiency.

The TransPort has four large operating channels, two 6mm and two 4mm channels. An endoscope is advanced through one channel to illuminate and visualize the operative site. The endoscope can be rotated freely within this channel to adjust the visual horizon so that “up” is truly “up”, regardless of the position of the TransPort. The other three channels accommodate USGI surgical instruments and are also compatible with standard endoscopic instruments.
The TransPort also accommodates the use of metered CO2 insufflation, providing the safety and control of laparoscopic insufflation for both endolumenal and NOTES applications.
For added efficiency and cost savings, the TransPort is composed of two pieces – a reusable body and handle that is sterilized between procedures and a sterile, single-use, disposable sleeve, with multiple lumens and an atraumatic tip.
